had it on snes myself. never beat it, but still remember the music. and how strange it was.

I think the SNES possibly didn't include some stages which were upsidedown for a technical reason, stages actually had me and my bro at the time sitting on the couch upsidedown to play it with our heads hanging off the pillows, was great lol.

There was also a part 3 which was a hell of a lot faster paced more in the lines of Sonic than the first 2

I didn't get into it quite as much as the first two games.

Also there was an amazing sports game featuring James Pond in the Aquatic Games, absolutely great for breaking megadrive pads and bleeding from the knuckles to get gold medals in this.... ahh... before the advent of turbo fire pads.
