If you want realistic tennis, you buy something quite different from Mario Tennis, same applies for racing and other sports, did somebody complain about Mario Kart not being a racing sim, but totally an arcade racer?
Actually a realistic Mario isn't impossible, but failure rate is quite high, for the two most notable attempts it's a hefty 50%, with Ron Jeremy succeeding and Bob Hoskins miserably failing.
