Are games being announced too early?

I think they are, look at games like Crackdown, Shenmue 3, Final Fantasy 7 remake (next gen?) and Kingdom Hearts 3 and The last of us 2 and many others.
When they got announced I was extremely hyped, now I am just thinking, release the game already, and the hype I once felt is pretty much gone.

Personally I think when you announce a game release it in 12 months or don't announce it, one year of waiting is more then enough.
