The one thing i was disappointed with was that they actually had a scene early in the movie where a Villain got his hand cut off by one of Dr. Strange's portals.
Why not do that exact same thing during the fight with Thanos? Easy win!
Also, remember how Thor lost his eye in his last movie?

Nobody should be surprised that anyone and anything can come back for whatever reason in a comic book universe.
