Right now Sony does have Manchester Studio, and seemingly a new Studio in San Diego has opened up. I am sure they want to keep expanding when possible but its clear from the studios they have axed in recent years that its not always so economically viable to have so many.
Personally I hope they look at getting some up and coming Chinese group. The Asian region (not Japan) seems to be where they dont really have any studios of their own.

I don't know. Chinese studios are not reputed for great AAA games, their thing is more like mobile games with loot boxes and pay to win models. I don't think I would trust such studios to migrate from the mobile world of con games to a console world of hard-core games.

I don't know of course but if I were Sony's boss I'd try to acquire Japanese studios like From Software, Platinum Games or if they have enough cash, Square Enix why not.
