I've noticed a particular claim that has been repeated so many times on this site that I feel I must open people's eyes to the truth.  The claim is basically that if third-parties developed their games for the Wii instead of the 360/PS3 they would be far better off.  This claim almost always comes up when a third party that makes games for the PS3/360 reports having financial problems.  It's as if they believe the Wii is a cure for any financial problems a third-party may have.  These people and those that believe what they say can't seem to understand why a significant number of third-parties choose not to put all their best eggs in the Wii basket.

What if I told you there is a company that is making only Wii and DS games, that have successful games on those platforms even, and that it posted a loss for it's last fiscal quarter.   I guess the claim is not the sure thing that those people would want you to believe.  Well the company in question is Majesco and they have posted a 0.3 million net loss for the fiscal quarter that ended April 2008.  I'm sure someone will mention that it's only 0.3 million compared to millions that some other companies have lost on 360/PS3 development.  Well Majesco is a small company and that should be taken into consideration when looking at the scale of a loss, but in the end it still doesn't change the fact that it's a loss.

Anyways I just wanted to clear things up and hopefully I have.

Oh and here's a link to a story covering Majesco's loss:
