Third-Party Docks Are Bricking Nintendo Switch Consoles since update

So this is Nintendo's plan to drive the sales of Switch units in 2018.
I guess they don't have much confidence in the sales potential of Smash (2018) and Fire Emblem (2018).

Hopefully this can be resolved shortly.
