mizzou_guy said: I loved this movie. I've been recommending it to all of my friends, but I just can't get anyone to go see it. It's sad to me that something can be made with such love like this movie, but be screwed over by poor marketing/release schedule. :( Edit: I loved the director's previous Ex Machina. I also very much disliked Thor: Ragnarok and was disappointed with Black Panther. If anyone is interested in another horror movie to watch, I highly recommend The Ritual on Netflix. |
The Ritual was pretty cool, yeah!
I really like Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther though. I mean, I'm normally into both types of cinema (more cerebral, slow movies mixed with some pop-corn blockbuster) and think they can co-exist. Nevertheless, I'm starting to think that the existence of the more fast-paced pop-corn cinema is eating alive the more mid-tier reflective cinema. I mean, that's not a shocking revelation, but as a person who enjoy both depending on my mood, I'm sad that more movies like Annihilation doesn't come out and be successful.
