The problem with disney is that for old sw fans the damage is already done. JJ cant undo whats been done on TLJ. I think that if he could be the director and writer of ep 9 things would be very different. After all he is a sw fan. Of course he can make a good movie with ep9 but it will be very difficult.
But hey, if it has a lot of explosions, plotholes, sjw dominance probably the critics will love and make another 1 billion on screens.

Ep. IX will make more than VIII and more than Revenge of the Sith easily. Book it.

Also to the point of "go see a movie 2-3x in a theater" ... have you guys looked at how much it costs to go to a theater these days? 2 tickets + popcorn + drinks can easily go north of $50 ... to see the same fucking movie 3x when Star Wars is something that's an annual event ... it's not worth it.

The Force Awakens was a product of pent up hunger for the franchise and the see ORIGINAL style Star Wars without the CG/stupidity of the prequels, so a lot of people had been waiting a long time for a film like that.

Even hardcore fanboys are going to see a lot of these movies only once even if they like it and move on. Granted many of these hardcore Star Wars fanboys probably don't have a girlfriend, so that's a substantial savings, lol.
