They're probably going to add content to each episode to increase the length of play from what they used to be on PS1 but I'd say that calling every episode a full game is stretching it. What you got in PS1 was a complete game with a complete story arc and it had sizable end-game content. The game provided 50-90 hours of gameplay depending on how many sidequests and leveling up you did. We're obviously not going to get that kind of experience from every episode so I don't buy into the 3 full games narrative. |
We won't know the truth till all three games come out, but I can only go by what Square-Enix is saying. And what they're saying is that this is 3 full length games. If they don't make good on that claim, then fine. But as it stands right now, we have no reason to believe otherwise.
