But yeah, this is obviously made up numbers we know PS4 has sold over 17 million in the first 11 months and should be well over 20 million with it's December sales.

Maybe they only include new/recent tech? PS4 and XB1 are quite old. 

It seems that the article is mostly focused on tech released this year.
