Tb, those folk were never really on board with them in the first place. A heavily curated Steam means we get less one hit wonders, high chances of less exclusives (as one example), as devs being pushed aside could easily work a deal with one of the big 3.

The funny thing is, even if GoG or another was top dog, that other crowd would be singing praise out the ass. I'm not a massive blind fan of Steam, but I know they've done a whole lot more for PC gaming than the other clients have. I know Steam has trash on their store, but the other publishers have released shitty PC ports, or AAA games loaded with MT's or being designed around GaaS. Yet conveniently, those people let all that trash slide.
