I wanted to like this movie really bad. I kept waiting and waiting thinking it's about to get good. All the way till the very end. JJ's attempt was much much better even though it was a complete rehash. Here are my negatives
• way too much humor, and it almost all fell flat. Better to have no humor than to attempt and fail.
• the whole plot really. The ship was just barely outside range? Couldn't have 1 of ur Star destroyers jump light spead right in front of it?
• the whole casino plot
• they did Luke horribly bad, full on ruined him
• leia is suddenly the most powerful force user of all time?
• the giant set piece on Crait had this giant buildup and nothing. Luke wasn't really there.
• very little lightsabers and suddenly we are calling them laser swords?
• again the humor was horrible
• the soundtrack was very lacking
• snoke got no backstory, and was just suddenly killed, zero payoff
• I either dislike characters I used to love(Luke) or I now only feel ok about new character is used to like( Finn, Rey, Poe) the only one I like now more than before is Kylo.
With the force awakens there was this wonder, and mystery to it. This movie killed all that. I fee like rain Johnson is an arrogant tool. Thinks he knows Should change everything about Star Wars the most popular franchise of all time. Like he knows how it should be and the rest of us are wrong.
I can't believe it reviewed so good. Almost all fans I ask say it was on of the worst if not the worst Star Wars film ever. I honestly think a lot of reviewers have it good score to not piss Disney off. Please Disney pull this guy off ur new trilogy. He will destroy everything about Star Wars.
do u know what would have been balsy. When Kylo and Rey go up to meet snoke, if Kylo would have turned good and Rey turned bad.
