Interesting.

The baby also seems to be a kind of power source for that seeking/protecting device! When the dying guy passes the baby to Reedus, his own device activates. And yeah, those dream catchers seem to play an important role. Stuff like time switches, alternate realities, death and yes dreams seem to be the main themes.

”That was kind of a weird trailer” Mark Cerny said...”What is even weirder is that, after you’ve played 4 or 5 hours of the game, all that starts to make sense.” Lol

I wouldn't call it a "Power source", it seems more it's the baby's way of communicating by pointing out any dangers. Also, the baby seem to be able to turn into the black goo and back at will.

After seeing this trailer i'm not sure the term "Stranding" is referring to something stranding on a beach, but to "Strands" as some kind of connections. We can see "Strands" reaching down from the sky at the end of the trailer and Strands coming out of the giant creatures arms. There is also a strong theme of umbilical cords. There is the Kojima Productions Logo with the skull inside the helmet that represents an enemy in the game.  "Death Stranding" may refer to the creatures taking over and controlling dead people by connecting to them with their "Strands"

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
