By that logic the Dodge Neon was successful, just because it outsold the Ford Model T. |
You knowledge of automotive history is severely lacking the Dodge Neon didn't even come close to outselling the Ford Model T. The Dodge Neon sold a bit over 2 million units the Ford Model T sold 16.5 million units.

The Model T numbers are even more impressive when you consider the fact that through most of its production run (1908-1927) the US had less then one third of the population then it has now and the percentage of people that had drivers licenses was a lot smaller then it is now. At one point over half the cars on US roads where Model T's.
