So much for Nintendo going software only

Figured this comment was coming.

Switching your business ventures is not dependent on how much assets you have, but how much you are making selling a particular product. Even if Nintendo was the richest company on the planet, if all they ever earned was 1 dollar per console generation, they'd still remain the richest companies on the planet. But eventually they would start investing in something that brings them more growth than just breaking even.

Your comment is suggesting is that Nintendo's wealth determines whether they decide to go software only or not. That's not the case. It's the return on their investment.
Now obviously things are starting off really well for Switch. It's just a common misconception that Nintendo have to be losing money or be in financial trouble for them to consider changing up their company.

You're putting too much weight in my comment.

My intention was only to silence those people who are constantly bashing Nintendo. They are doing great, and they will be around (as a hardware manufacturer) for years to come. They are essential to this industry and I wish them all the luck.
