So the gaming division has had a huge increase in profit from Q2 last year and Sony now expects 79M to be shipped by the 31st of March 2018 which is 19M for the fiscal year.
4.2M in quarter means that this is the PS4’s best Q2 so far. It also is the PS4’s best H1 (7.5M) and best PS4 sales from Jan-Sep (10.4M).
The gaming division is showing an operating income of $485M for Q2, which represents a 188% increase from Q2 2016. Around $641M for H1.
