China was devasted by Japan during WWII so it was pretty classless, even before the war there wheren't many rich people in China due to Western colonialism but they still had a currency and having no money is one of the key aspects of real communism. Plus once the opened up to the West, China became quickly very capitalistic. As far as the Soviets go they never really considered themselves true communist even Lenin himself said that they only achieved State Capitalism but not true communism. |
On that we would be talking semantics... but we all know the main reason socialism and comunism wouldn't work is because people doesn't want to be equal.
