Like cars with camra's that auto-break if they see you about to hit a person.

Whoa, I like the idea, but that would have so many problems.

Imagine a person walking on to a motorway in that scenario.

Or people learning the break distance and simply walking across roads at anytime/point potenially causing a litany of other accidents.

An outside influence that can force stop a tonne of fast moving metal is not nessecarily going to make things safer.

Many luxury vehicles already have this feature (Teslas, for example). They're not perfect, but they haven't been a problem yet and have saved several lives.
