万本売れたら凄いね、と言われながら始まった閃乱カグラは5年間でWWシリーズ販売累計165万本突破してました。売り上げが全てではないですけど、伸びれば嬉しいです。…お小遣いもらってもいい感じじゃないですかね? pic.twitter.com/MhSJdNpdon

“I forgot to mention it at the event the other day,” Takaki said, referring the the Senran Kagura New Title Presentation on August 1 that saw several Senran Kagura related announcements, “but the Senran Kagura series, which at the beginning they said would be amazing if it even sold 30,000 units, has sold over 1,650,000 copies worldwide in five years. Sales aren’t everything, but I’ll be happy if it sells more… It would be nice to get some pocket money, wouldn’t it?”
The original Senran Kagura first launched for 3DS in Japan in 2011. It has since seen several sequels and spin-offs across 3DS, PS Vita, PlayStation 4, PC, and smartphones.
