Of course... those are monstrosities. /rolleyes

Get it working in a pair of glasses and you might have a sucessful product.

There was this last October

It wasn't succesful, nowhere to be found now.

With light leakage I doubt you can ever make them that small and work well. Perhaps ski goggles size would work. I can see beyond the edges of my glasses, too small for VR experience. The picture or fov in the headset extends beyond the frame of my glasses.

I don't think anyone suggesting we need sunglasses sized VR units has ever actually stepped into VR. Like you said the FOV and light leakage would destroy the expereince.

For me future VR units need to expand the FOV, and continue to find ways to block light leakage, all while being lighter, more comfortable, and more stable. Once they get the FOV, Resolution, Frame Rate, and Tracking to a comfortable level for the majority, VR is going to take off in whatever form it is. I see people with hats, sunglasses, headphones, ear rings, nose rings, and a necklace on all the time, sometimes they have all of them on at once. As I said, people have no problem wearing things on their head if it holds its worth.

Sony won't give the Vita treatment to PSVR, because it is ground zero of billions upon billions in profits in the next few years. They need Polyphony, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, San Diego, Gurrilla, and the rest of their in house studios to have their teeth cut on VR for the future.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
