The biggest problem though is that Microsoft has by far the least interesting and compelling exclusives and I am not the only one who thinks go look at reviews and sales numbers of Microsoft games compared to their competitio. These days games made by Microsoft are no where near the quality of the 360 era.

(Cough) Forza Horizon 3/Ori and the Blind Forest (Cough)

Most of Microsofts exclusives that they came out with didnt survive enough to gain a sequel last gen either. The only other IP ourside of possibly fable that survived last gen was Gears and they bought the IP to that because Epic was sick of making it.

Epic was already making Gears of War 4 for 6 months before selling it to Microsoft.

You mean Microsoft?

But I think Microsoft letting Bungie becoming a third party developer was just as big of a mistake. Bungie created the series that put the Xbox on the map and Microsoft should of trust them to make Destiny an exclusive and either just make a second Bungie studio or 343 continue to the Halo series and let the core Bungie studio make Destiny. I think if Destiny was an Xbox exclusive it would of been a completely different story for Microsoft this gen. Say what you will about the game but it is the biggest new IP of the gen and has a large fanbase and it could easily been a Microsoft exclusive had they just let Bungie made it as a first party developer.

Yeah, my mistake. Typo there. Microsoft missed out on capitalizing on the relationship with Bioware. Outside of Halo...their games were the only reason I kept my original Xbox. Mass Effect was the first game I bought on the 360 as well when I opted not to buy a PS3 and choose the alternative as a primary console for a time.

Microsoft is not a creative company. They are kind of a rinse and repeat company who milk whatever makes money. Theres nothing wrong with that, but only when you have IP's to milk. Bungie wasnt destined to stay with them forever but it just makes you wish Microsoft was different. People dont even have to wonder how Microsoft screw up these deals. Of course, Destiny couldve been huge, but Microsoft wouldve had to either trust bungie and let Halo rest...which they refuse to do, for if it had not been for the acquisition of Bungie and Halo after Steve Jobs...most wouldve accepted Microsoft into the console race with open arms. Microsoft has a good eye for actively seeking  out Killer Apps, but just dont know how to make them or endorse creativity.

Im going to say this right now......Its Xbox Gamers fault as to why Quantum Break failed. They failed Microsoft there. That could've been a great franchise for XBox.

I was at a local retailer the other day and notice that Quantum Break was still full price while Infinite Warfare was at $40 I guess QB was somewhat successful or else the price would show it.
