Losing sight in one eye would hardly affect you, it would just ruin you're sight at judging depth you can go on living a perfectly normal life.

It's not just losing depth, you also lose peripheral vision on the side where it's missing, I'm missing my right eye and when cycling I have to take extra care of anything coming from that side of me since my left wont quite see it over the bridge of my nose, means an extra head turn in some instances.

Try it for a bit, put something over or just close one eye, pick either one and go for a cycle, you'll see very fast what I mean, you'll hate the bridge of your nose after a bit.

Well you can do plastic surgery to become Voldemort and them your sight would improve a lot
