They will be. Both.

Teres no way Sony moved to more conventional hardware to not have that as an aim. Especially when it comes to VR, they will want all the current gen VR games to be compatible with whatever their new VR setup for PS5 is. 

Hopefully they are investing in their CPUs this time, they will need them for VR.
