So an announcement, without ANY footage, like at all, is enough for Nintendo to win? Smh

Yeah, I agree. Show us a freaking CGI teaser at least. Nintendo didn't win, plain and simple.

Ummm no, don't waste your time with that. CGI trailers are absolutely pointless, and honestly I find them more disappointing than not and would prefer they just wait for some gameplay footage.

I really think Nintendo guaranteed that the Switch will be a success by showing that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is indeed looking nearly complete (most including myself thought it was likely still a ways off), Super Mario Odyssey somehow looks even better than before (that hat trick is a brilliant idea), and most importantly, announcing a mainline Pokemon RPG is in development for the Switch. Throw in Metroid Prime 4 and the surprisingly-good-looking X-Com-esque Mario & Rabbids, along with those games which weren't mentioned but will be showcased (ARMS, Splatoon 2), and I have to say that Nintendo had the strongest showing this time around.

Still, I think Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony all had strong showings for once (usually one drops the ball), and was pleasantly surprised by such a lovely Ubisoft showing that I'm almost tempted to pick them just based on the total 180 they've managed to pull.
