The big difference is that all of Nintendo profits goes toward their gaming, as thats what Nintendo is...a game company.
Sony on the otherhand needs much more in the profits from gaming related media because Sony is a large company with many divisions, some of which lose money, with much higher overhead cost.
It all evens out in the end. I am just happy both are doing well.
