Take this with a grain of salt as I'm no ME player.
FFXV is plagued by questionnable design choices, while ME has execution flaws.
The thing with big franchises like that is that the execution is where you shouldn't be disappointed : they are super high budget games with long devlopment cycles made by veterans of the industry.
Also, the Final Fantasy franchise always had questionnable design choices, and no game in the franchise ever pleased everyone. Wether it pleases most or not makes the difference between the "best" titles and the "worst" ones, but it's the reason why when you ask people which is their favourite FF game, you get so many different answers.
So I would say ME:A is a bigger embarassment. The facial animations look like they were handled by rookies led by an incompeetent manager, which should never happen on such a big title.
