Nintendo isn't and can't be perfect. You just gotta take the good with the bad, or if you feel the bad outweighs the good, find other means of gaming that are more good than bad to you.
Also I do think Nintendo does listen, just not to the hardcore minority, they instead listen to sales. DKCR sold more than any Metroid game, so they naturally they prioritize a DK sequel over a Metroid one. The Wii and it's motion controls sold uber well, so naturally they're gonna put out more motion control games. There's many more examples but you get the idea.
