All those games are great but all are open world action games probably with RPG elements. The next game I'm buying, ME:A is probably near the same (but if it's like previous ME games, less open world).

Game companies don't really want to make unique experiences, they want to make their spin on what is selling more, which is why the game industry is filled with FPS and action adventure games. But this is putting it down to it's simplest forms. Zelda is very different from Nioh, after all. Completely different style and aimed at a different market. Yet even FF went for this route, open world action adventure, I wonder how it would have done if it kept it's feel on gameplay and not copied others. But alas, hindsight.

If you are not satisfied with games now, go back to playing older games for a while, find your favourite PS2 games, get your PS2 out of it's box and have a play of some great games again. I did that with Valkyrie Profile 2 and loads of PS1 classics at the end of the PS3 gen, when I got bored of games as well.

Hmm, pie.
