I really don't wanna use this argument, but why do so many of the European Americans I see who visit Europe frequently never mention this as a huge issue? During the summer I visited Amsterdam, from the upper class to the lower class and didn't have too many issues (I got tired from all the biking you have to do). Either Amsterdam isn't heavily involved in the issue, or I looked in the wrong places and asked the wrong people.

 

I guess the only reason I haven't really learned more about the immigrant issue is because both sides of the media apparently show what the media doesn't want me to see. Liberal news stations claim it, conservative stations do it as well- it is a clear mess. As much as I dislike staying ignorant on a subject, I really would prefer to know nothing about it than to only have biased sources.
