And eh, I'm used to getting demos for stuff. Was pretty cool at the start of 7th gen when digital demos became a thing. I wonder why they died out, seems very very rare for a game to actually get a demo these days.

Demos were a thing long before Gen7, at least on the PC platform. In fact, it was during the Gen 7 era that demos started to disappear, mostly because the HD jump from consoles was so expensive that devs became scared that demos could show how their games actually were, aka. not as great as they wanted us to believe with their videos.

But going on to buy a game just to try if you like it or not, and then asking for a refund if you don't is, at least in my opinion, going way to far. Watching videos on youtube and reading reviews from trusted sites is what I do to know if I may like a certain game or not.
