Personally no. I like it. Brings more immersion. In Witcher 3, I loved when preparing for a fight I would make a concoction or bomb that would help me out. Apply oil to my sword and later when the inventory was better weighted, I would also at times switch equipment for better defense against creature/human. I mean I"m out doing a hunt for a creature that I used my bestiary skills to learn about and find weaknesses. I like then implimenting them versus having an all in one gadget covering everything. In Skyrim, I installed mods that made it so you would have to do things like eat or wear certain clothes to be warm in snow areas, ect. |
That's understandable. Just to be clear, I'm talking about changing gear for minor reasons where I have to change right back again. That actually breaks immersion for me, since it's not a real time thing. For instance, I hated repairing guns in Fallout: New Vegas because you could pause in the middle of battle and fix your gun, like you're calling a time out or something. Applying poisons before a fight isn't in the same category for me.
