Good. Japanese VA is one of the worst things ever

Watching both trailers, I would disagree whole-heartedly. Side by side, there is a huge difference in quality between the the voice actors. Enjoying something more in your native language is fine...but certain aspects of the performance can still be compared objectively, like vocal inflections and tone. This is my main issue with most English dubbed anime. The Japanese voice acting industry is much much bigger than its equivalent in the west...and difference in quality is evidence of that.

-----------

Anyways, this is really obnoxious, and is part of why I hoped they would never incorporate voice acting into Zelda; I had very little faith it would be done properly. I'll just have to hope the voices in the trailer aren't completely representive of the end product....we'll see.

Of course...this isn't nearly enough to impact my purchase. I've enjoyed JRPGs with English-only audio of much lower quality...so I hardly weigh this as the most important part of the game. Still something that dissapoints me though.

Perhaps the use of vocaloids, a made up language, like that used in Gravity Rush with subtitles would have been a better option. Then we would know what the spoken Hyrulian language sounds like. Nintendo has invented a written Hyrulian language, why not a spoken one too?

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!
