Trump's made numerous duplicitious statements.

Lets say a political candidate said this:

"White men are shooting up our movie theaters, they are the number 1 group of serial killers, and some of them .... I assume are good people, but we need to set up a database to monitor them more closely.".

Or some other generalizing statement, I bet you'd have a big problem with that. He's also retweeted white supremasists among other things.

His reputation and everything that it's associated with is well deserved. As a matter of fact he said many things this campaign that would sink most any candidate, he is given a pass on many things becuase he's branded himself as the shock politican/outrageous/crazy candidate.

His Vice Presidential choice is a man who believes in converstion theraphy for gays/lesbians, this is the second in command of the country.

He may be worse than a racist in my book. A racist is someone who believes one race to be superior/inferior. Trump utilizes dog whistle racism to manipulate racists for his personal gain. So he's manipualting those people, which I feel is actually worse. There's a reason the KKK has endorsed him.

These aren't "coincidences" or "poor Donald, people just don't understand the real Donald". He is what he is.

Can you please share with me some of the quotes where he re-tweeted words from white supremascists?  I would also like to understand the context of these tweets and whether Trump was knowingly promoting a racist idea or somebody who presented himself/herself as a racist individual or if he was just re-tweeting an innocuous message from a user that he agreed with.  It's a two-party sysem and so scum like the KKK are going to back one of the two mainstream parties just like the violent elements within Black Lives Matter and various Islamic extremist groups probably supported Hillary.  I certainly have no time for the KKK and if I ever heard Trump clearly and explicitly praising that group I would disown him in front of you on this message board.  That said, I do not believe such proof exists, just conjecture and yet this is enough for the mainstream media to label Trump with certainty as being a demagogue or Hitler.  Also, is Trump proposing a database to monitor all brown Americans or just people coming into the USA from certain countries that have high prevalence of terrorism?  Those two policies sound very different to me.  That said, if Trump institutes a policy where only members of certain skin color within these countries get screened, I would certainly agree with you.

My mind is not closed on this matter, if you can show me speech where Trump is clearly advocating a criminal act against an individual or a group of individuals, I would stop supporting him right now.   That's the beauty of the term "hate speech,"  it has clear parameters by which a person can be convicted.   Homophobia, racism and sexism, on the other hand, are these vague concepts used by the media to tar and feather people like some kind of witch hunt.  Those in the media claim to be so educated and so it's a shame that they seem incapable of understanding legal terms such as "balance of probablities" or "reasonable doubt" when it comes to evidence.  It would be different if they just said that they didn't like him (which would be the truth), instead they hide behind these concepts and lump Trump in with Hitler as though it is fact.  This is just dishonest.

Retweeted white supremastits 75 times:

KKK endorses Trump:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/11/01/the-kkks-official-newspaper-has-endorsed-donald-trump-for-president/?utm_term=.00d01b0a2ea3

He dog whistles it away after the fact, for example let me show you a classic Trump maneuver, David Duke, a white supremasist and KKK leader endorsed him.

Trump instead of disavowing Duke and distancing himself (which he knows would turn off some of the audience that is fuelling his campaign) claims he doesn't know David Duke or anything about him.

This was proven false because he had talked about David Duke years before. What that shows is he's purposefully manipulating the situation to further his political career, which is a disgusting tactic IMO.

Another example, when given a chance on NBC to disavow the KKK, Trump hesitated to do it and then afterwards blamed a bad ear piece for not being able to hear the question even though it was repeated to him several times:

I could go on. Note I don't think Trump (or at least maybe it's naive hope at this point) believes in all these things, but I think it's equally or even more despicable to fan the flames and try to profiteer politically off this stuff. He knows what he's doing.
