And Square Enix had no choice but to turn this game into a numbered Final Fantasy, if i remember correctly some western studio was supposed to be developing Final Fantasy 15 in space like mass effect. but that project got canned, and with Versus 13 being 35 t0 40% completed, Nomura dark vision, and multiple entries i guess square decided to make changes to the game to fit the main line series hence tabata comes in. So the game we are seeing now is half of Nomura's vision and other half slapped on by SE to be XV. |
Grin was making a Final Fantasy but it was not a mainline. Just a spinoff. Grin was asked to develop many Japanese franchises. Bionic Commando both Rearmed (awesome game)and the 2009 Wife Arms game that was awful and Strider which had a much more realistic tone and look (looked like shit TBH and glad we got the Double Helix 2014 game instead ) and Final Fantasy Fortres
