We dont really know, maybe Watchdogs and Cod arent good games to make a bundle. There is a lot of compettion from Titanfall and B1 this holydays so why making a bundle for one particular third party game?

COD is not a good game for a bundle? What? Watchdogs, sure. But COD? THE topselling game lastgen and this gen?

That is kinda crazy... the most someone can arguee is that sony wants to expend less or promote more a 1st party game, but to say bundle with CoD wouldn't bring a lot of HW sale is insane.

They will sell whatever they are going to produce at the current price. Why make millions less in profit and cause a shortage by selling them cheaper.

WW they outsell the xb1 insanely. And in America where xbox is stronger they've outsold it too in 2016 so far by a healthy margin.

2016 YTD

PS4: 2,420,000
XB1: 2,220,000

Gap: 200,000

Even if it was only 200 that is still 10%, quite healthy. And if it is indeed 400 then that is a very good 20% lead on one of the two main markets X1 still can compete.

Let me just make sure I understand you correctly - you're claiming the ps4 (Slim and original) cannot play games at upscaled 4k resolution with HDR on 4k HDR-capable tv?

unless I am mistaken that is my understanding yes. Or at least its not been promoted well if it does. The One slim adverts seem to suggest that it is the only slim console to do this.

Yes you are a lot wrong. The only think X1S have over PS4, PS4s and PS4Pro is the 4k bluray player.

So indeed for the 5% 4k TV owners on the market the only appeal is the player.

Indeed you are mistaken. HDR support was introduced in 4.0 update for all ps4 systems. And AFAIK there are no 4k tvs that don't have built-in upscalers. While the xboxones upscaler does have some benefits compared to the tv upscaler it's definitely not a huge improvement. Also games that natively run at a higher resolution on ps4 will still look better using the tv upscaler compared to a lower resolution upscaled by the xboxones. But again like I said the difference will be negligible. Basically you'll see a near identical quality in all cases between the ps4 and the xboxones. Edit: On 4k tvs I mean.

I see, of course you are talking about the tv set doing the upscaling for the ps4 (in place of the one built into the xone slim). I see your ppoint that in the bigger scheme of things it prob mames minimal diff.  I guess then it comes down to the brilliant marketing of MS by creating the perception of a stand out feature simply cos its built into the console..It succeeded with me and with prob heaps others.

Considering PS4 render the game at higher resolution (like 1080p vs 900p or 720p depending on the IQ developer decides) the upscalling that the TV already does will be better on PS4 than on X1S. HDR is native on all PS4 after 4.0 as said, but unfortunately very little games currently have it enabled. The only upscale advantage X1 have is reduced input lag when upscaling with its cheap instead of the TV, but it's added cost with little purpouse besides some competitive players.

In the end you are right at the moment MS is doing better marketing to capitalize on 4k capabilities and HDR. And the prettier pixels =p
