Buying physical games in general don't make sense. The effort of changing disks all the time, worrying about scratching them, wearing out the laser and storing the game on your shelves plus you still have to download half the games anyway since 99% of them require day one patches.
Digital is simple, download it and its there when you want it all the time. Cant be stolen, damaged or requires you to put the disk in the machine.
