Not sure where the idea that ps4 games have small install amount from but gta5 for ps4 requires 55 gb of data, the last of us remastered needs 50 gb, fallout 4 needs 40, and that's just three games. I have close to 30 ps4 physical games btw. It's not just Xbox. Every new generation, the data requirement goes way up from the previous gen.

Remember ps1 memory cards, how game saves were done by freakin kilobytes? When ps2 came out everyone thought an 8mb memory card was big. Then PS3 came out and we had consoles built in with 60 gb hard drives. Not sure why ppl are complaining now. It's always been like this.

He is more talking about patches to games where he has the game on disc, sure Fallout 4 is close to 40gb but if you have the disc you put it in the ps4 and the great majority of that is on the disc... heck while there are patches for the game if you click on the icon for the game right off the bat you can select "launch without update" to start the game up exactly as you bought it from the store.

Also like you said regarding storage, the Ps1 mem card is 128kb in size then the ps2 launched and had a 8mb card (62x larger) so we had bigger space for more than just 15 games on a card, decent upgrade even though now most games were taking more than the 128kb of the original cards, it didn't matter we got the space required in the update. Come the ps3 we go from 8mb up to a starting 60gb (7500x larger storage) again game saves are now far above 8mb and at least for the start of the gen digital downloads are under 1gb meaning you still got substantially more games running on your ps3 than you would have on the ps2 without messing with the memory card/storage options. Along comes the PS4 500gb model (8x larger than last gen, far less when you consider how much is reserved for system use) now featuring games which require upwards of 50gb of the actual 400gb of storage available to them.... it is a gargantuan step backwards from all the previous generations, it is even worse than the PSone which would allow you have 15 games like FF7/8/9 on the go at the same time in that 128kb now if you combine Fallout4 and TheWitcher 3 fully updated on the PS4 you have close to 130gb of your 400gb used up so yeah, back to having less play options than the ps1 is now an issue.
