I cant believe people are compaireing the Tegra X2 to a Nvidia 830M....

1) The tegra X2 should be faster... pc to console, architecture differences ect.
2) Saying that the 830m can play games acceptably.. when those videos are 1280x720p and low-medium settings (and stutter).

Thats not really setting the bar very high.

As a Nintendo fan, if I get a NX Im not sure Id buy any 3rd party games on it, if they run 720p + medium settings on NX, but 1080p + High settings on PS4.

For a tablet sized system, 830M visuals would be fine by me. Actually many of the games run at 1366x768, which is not a huge difference, but still technically more pixels to render. Since NX is likely only going to have a 6-7 inch display they could go even lower than that.

But Nintendo could make some gorgeous games of their own on a chip like that and PS4 ports would be possible even on the go which would be fairly significant.

There definitely would be some third party games I'd consider buying on the NX over the PS4 if they were in the same ball park ... EA's FIFA or NHL games for sure. Have wanted portable versions of the "real" FIFA and NHL games to play on the go for ages. Would be awesome to be able to play something like that on an 8 hour flight. Or Dragon Quest XI or Final Fantasy VII or Soul Calibur VI, I'd honestly have to think about it.

For "home mode" they should sell a SCD dock with extra processing power that allows games to run in medium/medium high settings and 1080P when at home. If they did that I'd buy the NX version basically every time because why should I buy the PS4/XB1 versions that I can only play at home, when the NX version plays where ever I want and can then play at home with similar graphics on my TV.

I think design wise that would be the best compromise. Too bad Nintendo is probably too dense to realize this though.
