Star Citizen, a game that’s been in development since 2011 and in October 2012 Robert started his own crowdfunding campaign on his own Website *robertsspaceindustries.com* which is also where you can download Star Citizen game/demo. Since 2012 crowd funding, in August 2016 it has raised more than $119 million.

The game consist of everything from Exploring, Mining, FPS combat, PvP and PvE quests in an unscaleable sized Universe. It also uses a modified version of the CryEngine 3, one of my favourite gaming engines.

I’ve just recently got to play No Man Sky (1 week ago) and as I loved exploring planet to planet system, the game hasn’t lived up to my own expectations and was incredibly hyped as nothing more than a 3rd party system seller. NMS has now made me wonder what happened to SC a game that has been in the making for 5+ years. Well at gamescon 2016 they showed SC Version 3.0 and this is something Space Sim fans should have a look at.

The YouTube clip below has commentary (Unfortunately) however this is a game that you can see that doesn’t have restrictions of console hardware and boundaries. As a space sim fan I am glad it wouldn’t get water downed just for the masses of casuals. This is Hardcore gaming at its best.

As the man speaks as a true PC gamer *“Star Citizen IS a PC game,” trumpted Roberts, as if confronted by a PS4 dev kit door-to-door salesman. “It will NEVER be dumbed down for a lesser platform. We will NOT limit the input options or supported peripherals to the lowest common denominator. We will NOT pass on features and technology just because they will only run on some hardware configurations.” As a fellow PC gamer this is exactly what I want to hear. (Link Below)

Remember the YouTube clip is also showing an unfinished game.

Those that dont want to sit though a 51min clip, start watching from 5:35 onwards to see something truely amazing.

I am extremely hyped for this game on completion.
