Bingo. They're in for a nasty surprise if they think they can charge more than $250 USD for this.

If this is going to succeed, it needs to be priced as an affordable handheld system. Console pricing invites comparison with PS4/Xbox One, against which it comes up lacking.

The Nvidia TV alone is $199 and it doesn't have a lot of storage, a screen and its not as compact, thisc onsole will surely be priced like a home console, and if the specs are not stronger then the nvidia TV it just won't compare to the current gen, let alone the Scorpio/Neo. Obviously it will be the strongest handheld, but who will buy a dedicated game console for $300 or more except maybe die-hard nintendo fans?

you guys have a good point.

The Nvidia Shield console will be almost two years old by the time NX launches and is likely sold at a fat mark up by Nvidia, because that's what they do with everything since they don't make money off games. Nintendo can seller much closer to or right at cost.

LCD display prices have plummeted the last 2-3 years too, there's $60-$70 tablets today with 720p or even better displays now that are 7 inches or larger.
