WiiU had 3rd-party-support at launch. But it didn't sell much. Visually improved ports sold good on PS4 (Tomb Raider), but not on WiiU (Need for Speed). It seems Nintendo-customers have different needs than customers on other platforms. If 3rd-party doesn't cater to these needs (and I don't see why they should change), they will not sell and therefore they will not support.

There are thrid-party games that sell well on Nintendo-plats, but mostly it needs special effort and special consideration. So I can't see good 3rd-party support in the near future.

Well if you consider 1.2 million sales on a base of 40 million then sales of .3 million units should be decent enough on a 12 million userbase for you wouldnt it?Not saying it's the definite answer but clearly, with a bigger userbase Most Wanted U clearly would have sold a lot more than it did.

Nah, data shows that sales are not linear to userbase. A bigger userbase might have brought in a few more sales, but nothing big.

On the other hand shows Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2 or Lego City that 3rd-party games can sell alright, even on an ill-received platform like the WiiU, if there is done enough to make the game appealing to the base.
