Possibly, but I don't think Nintendo NEEDS 3rd party support to survive. Their IP alone accounts for numerous comparitive IP at many studios combined. And their software sells very well. However, In order for their content to reach a wider audience, 3rd party games are needed to increase the install base of a console. That is unless, Nintendo pulls another Wii with NX in which the technoloy is "must try" tech. Which, isn't too farfetched. We haven't seen any console that's been kept such a secret. Current developers know nothing about it, even OS engineers at Nintendo don't know what the NX is. If NX becomes must try technology, they won't necessarily need 3rd party support but 3rd parties would be obligated to make software for it if the console explodes.
