I could have hypothetically meant that being the "origional" meant the game that catapulted the franchise into the spotlight. IMO that was SF 64 and not the SNES one. Another example is Street Fighter. Nobody really acknowledges the first, but part 2, which made the franchise a household name to gamers everywhere, is considered to many to be their 1st entry in the franchise. Again, merely a miscommunication. |
The original Starfox was pretty well known, it was a big deal at the time and sold 3 million copies.
