Yeah i was originally going to wait for broadwell e but with the quad core cpus based on broadwell couldnt overclock for #### and with only a ~4% boost in IPC so they ended up being worse than the Devils canyon CPUs were. i honestly feel like it will be a wash especially since its looking like the Intel Extreme range is going to be a 10 core $1500 part that is going to be worthless to me in gaming and is only going to further make overclocking more difficult since there are more cores to cool. Hell my 8 core 5960x is basically worthless to me in gaming performance over my old 3930k which I had running at 4.8 ghz. But x99 is a WAY better beast than x79 was and is much more up to date which was what finally sold me on it.

So i finally decided to pull the trigger and go Haswell E and i dont regret it one bit. Ill sell my Fury X's when the flagship Pascal or Polaris cards come out. Im going all out next gen and it feels good... except in my pocket book hahahaha. $4000 down the drain so far with plans to spend another $3000 between a beast watercooling setup and 3x new graphics cards.

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!
