Who said that they would not? They sure as hell is not making another dedicated game Handheld anymore or a dedicated PC like they used to.

That's like asking Microsoft do you see how fast the mobile market is growing , why make a windows phone OS..just why not make a Android OS based smartphone instead. Lol

You are acting like its always about selling the most , or "you need to" well if that was the case why did Sony sell off SOE? It was a PC development Studio, but yet Sony Sold it off?

If it was that d@mn lucrative  for Sony in the PC market why sell it off in the 1st place?

There you go again, you put in Windows Store..that only reference in to windows 10 & Xbox one that does not include 7/8.2 or vista..

What is if Sony decides , such as you mentioned since Android is Linux based goes for the sake of Argument with Steam OS support for Playstation VR and makes a PlayStation Store for Steam OS instead of Windows 10 store?

 

Did you think of that? Many on here 1st thing they thought was Windows OS 10 support, I doubt if you want to be honest many even entertained Valve with its steamOS getting the support instead of Microsoft.

Again how is that even the case..Don't sold off their PC arm, SOE, Sony makes Android OS smart phones not Windows phone powered Smartphone's , Sony Makes Android OS powered smart TV's they do not make smart TV's with windows OS powering them. And yet Sony is creating a playstation Smartphone development studio, and you think Android OS is s bigger threat than PC with Windows OS?

Its Clear 3rd partys will continue to release their AAA games on PC's, but why would they then port them games to Android to run on Sonys Store?? what would they have to gain from this unless the hardware was powerful enough and this is the thing.]

 

Who said they would? Android OS HSS their own developer studios and publishers..the default Graphics API is Vulkan for AndroidOS.

Because of this very fact one Graphics API can be coded, just as in PC Windows OS with DirectX you can code, so can Developers for Android do the same.

See right there, the Living room computer entertainment platform is not being the PC is not in the  driver seat..its low cost single board computers that have low power requirements, low cost and right now that's ARM holdings chipsets..the #1 OS is AndroidOS, and Android is a OS calling it or implying its not a "proper OS" just shows the arrogance in that statement.

Yes it is for Sony's playstation console. Both a PC & a console can sit under the TV..you think Sony wants to see a PC under the TV instead of a playstation? Microsoft wants that, but Sony as hell does not want to see that.

 

[Its about Making sure that it doesnt become impossible to compete with them other Digital Stores. Its about locking in the users no matter what device or OS they use, cos as a Company you dont want them going to another store and getting locked in there.]

 

If that's the case why build a store yourself and just go with the larger well established stores? Its like asking Microsoft why make a windows phone Is at all? Why not just make all your windows phone games and applications on Android and iOS..because that's exactly what your implying.. If your not than I'm am Sorry if that's not what your saying.. Again why would Sony support The PC market now other than streaming , if they sold off their PC assets..

 

If you are saying Sony would make their PlayStation iP's on PC as a platform just like Microsoft does with its Xbox one ..than again what is if for the sake of argument Sony instead choose Valve and Steam OS instead?

Not make as much money? Than? Windows store is now just Windows 10 devices while steam support is windows 7,8.1 & Vista would Sony need to support windows 10 also?

But this is the last im going to say on it. Its not hard to see where markets are going if you really look with [un biased eyes], and i no longer wish to be taking this thread off topic. But if you really would like to continue talking about such things then maybe you should just make a thread about it.

 

One could ask you the same thing..again why would Sony need to make a PlayStation store is if Sony's main platform is consoles not PC?

Its one thing to make a store trying to cash in, its another to compete with your own platform for priority over one that your main target is completely the opposite market than the one you are in..Again Don't sold off SOE, & their PC arm..

But invested more into Mobile not PC!
