This is a desperate rationalization. The fact of the matter is that this benefits A Microsoft studio, but not Xbox. As a PS4/WiiU/Vita/3DS/PC owner, I don't have to buy an Xbox to play this game, where otherwise I would have to add to XB1's sale count.

It's simply not exclusive anymore. Just like SFV isn't exclusive. No amount of "No, Microsoft wins because PC is Microsoft" will detract from the fact that I have lost a reason to buy an XB1.

You still dont get it do you. QB sells under the Xbox Devision wheather you buy it for PC or not. The sales and profits dont go to MS but to Xbox so your still contributing to the brand and its end of year results. MS might not see a hardware sale but they dont have to, the console has sold 20m units and continue. Gamers like yourself never intended to buy an Xbox in the first place so MS are being smarter and still able to take your money without buying there console.

There is no money in console sales however there profits come from Software and your still supporting Xbox since game sales come under that Devision.

Im a PC gamer myself and i still own an Xbox because of many other reasons. QB will still be an X1 purchase for me even though my PC can run it better.

Except no. Again, this is just a desperate rationalization in the face of your preferred console losing one of its biggest reasons to buy said console. Talk all you want about how this is an overall victory for Microsoft Studios, but depending on how well it sells on PC you might see more and more Xbox exclusives run on PC as well. And then suddenly poof.

Xbox is gone because there's no longer a reason for it.
