If Nintendo planned it right, it won't be competing with PS4/X1. It'll be competing with PS5/X2. If this is the case then I think they'll be fine. But not because of the console itself. What will sell will be the cross platform play between the console and handheld. If Nintendo and NX take off like it should, then I'm expecting a combined 100+ million units lifetime.
