I'll have a wait and see approach. We have no hard evidence right now that hints at a 2016 or a 2017 release. While I would like Wii U to last another year, I can't deny the fact that Nintendo's going back and forth between that and 3DS has caught up to them. We can't expect them to release a consistent stream of games while maintaining their quality. HD is expensive and takes longer to create games. That's why assets from previous games are being used. Trying to create a completely new engine and game would take a while. 3DS is declining and is considered the old man of the generation not only for its length in the market, but also for its tech. We'll just have to see what gets replaced first.
