I'm not against companies buying up exclusives if it means the quality of the game increases, but there's absolutely no evidence here the game was in any way affected either positively or negatively by microsofts exclusivity.

TR 2013 sold well, so one would assume this project was green lit fast af at Square enix. Square could easily afford the current quality of the game as is on their own, evident by how well they are doing especially with the number of releases they have coming.

Even worse when they announce the pc and ps4 availability before the actual release of the game, you can assume microsofts inclusion was nothing but mere money, which hurts :'(
